Is Smash Bros a Mario game?

The game “Smash Bros” is considered a crossover series of a number of multiplayers games that are all well-known Nintendo characters. These characters are pitted against one another to fight, each of which using abilities that are unique to them to win the battle. Smash Bros is praised for being one of Nintendo’s many fighting games and for being a crossover en masse of a number of fighting games of a number of franchises from Nintendo. This type of game is also known for attracting both competitive and casual players, since it has official Nintendo events and game modes that accommodate different types of play.

The Western title for this game is a play on the Super Mario Bros game, but the Super Smash Bros title is a crossover franchise that isn’t a part of the Super Mario franchise or any title that is related to it. The Super Mario Franchise, however, is the most represented game in this game, since there are a number of playable stages and characters, and since the game receives first billing as Nintendo’s flagship franchise.

Aside from Mario, there are a number of other characters who are represented in the games. Included in these are:

The game also has a number of non-playable references to Nintendo series, such as the number of rosters of stages in the game, which are themed around the locations in past Nintendo games. Also, the Super Smash Bros games has a large number of 3rd party fighter guests. These guest fighters include mascot characters like those that have shown their faces in the Mario series, like Pac-Man and Sonic. They also include games from more mature games like Solid Snake from the Metal Gear games and the Bayonetta character from the game titled after herself. With the large roster of characters, which go from those that are familiar to the more obscure ones, Super Smash Bros acts as a gateway to the Nintendo library of franchises, with games acting as popularity boosts for the image of lesser known series like Kid Icarus, Fire Emblem, and Metroid.
